Kenzie and Billy Moorhead Minnesota Wedding at the Armory

Kenzie and Billy’s Moorhead Minnesota wedding was one of those days that felt like it was made for them. From a relaxed morning getting ready with their closest people to a beautiful ceremony, a party bus full of their favorite people, and the most gorgeous sunset—you could feel the joy and excitement surrounding these two all day long.

Their wedding day was full of so many little moments that made it uniquely theirs, and I’m so excited to share a little peek into their Moorhead Minnesota wedding day at the Armory!

Getting Ready in Dilworth & Moorhead

The morning began with Kenzie and her girls getting ready at Mercantile Manor in Dilworth, while Billy and the guys got ready at the Moorhead Armory.

There was something so special about the morning, the anticipation, the excitement, the laughter, and all of those little moments before the day officially began. Getting ready photos are some of my favorite parts of a wedding day because they capture the feeling of everything just before you step into the next chapter of your life. I typically start with flat lays, details, dresses, and finish with group photos of you and your girls!

First Looks & Vows at the Armory

From getting ready, we headed over to the Armory for one of my favorite parts of the day: Kenzie and Billy’s first look.

There is something so special about seeing a bride and groom see each other for the first time on their wedding day. After their first look, the two of them shared private vows together, creating such a meaningful and intimate moment before the busyness of the day began.

It was one of those moments where everything else seemed to disappear and it was simply the two of them.

Portraits at Oak Grove Park

After their first look and vows, we headed over to Oak Grove Park for portraits. This is the perfect spot when you are planning a Moorhead Wedding.

The park gave us the perfect backdrop for their wedding photos, and we were able to slow down for a little while and let Kenzie and Billy simply enjoy being together. We captured portraits of the two of them, their wedding party, immediate family photos and plenty of genuine moments along the way.

I love when couples give themselves time on their wedding day to step away from the timeline and just soak it all in. Pro tip for photographers, always play music. This helps the couple loosen up tremendously!

A Beautiful Ceremony at St. Joe’s

From Oak Grove Park, we headed to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Moorhead for extended family photos and their ceremony.

After spending the morning together and sharing their vows privately, it was so special to watch Kenzie and Bill officially become husband and wife surrounded by their family and friends.

There was so much joy in the room as they exchanged their vows and celebrated the beginning of their marriage, and their life together!

Party Bus & Celebration Time

Once the ceremony was over, it was time to celebrate!

We loaded up the party bus with their bridal party and headed to Cowboy Jack’s and Mick’s Office. The energy shifted from wedding-day nerves to full-on celebration mode, and it was so much fun watching everyone enjoy the evening together.

After arriving at the reception, Kenzie and Billy made their grand entrance and shared their first dance as husband and wife where everyone gathered to watch them!

Then came the food, cupcakes, Dippin’ Dots, lots of laughter, and plenty of dancing!

Sunset Photos & One Gorgeous Night

One of my favorite parts of Kenzie and Billy’s wedding day was getting to sneak them away for sunset photos.

And let me tell you—the sunset did NOT disappoint.

Kenzie had a specific vision for these sunset photos, and let me tell you, we captured just that!

We had the most gorgeous evening light, creating the dreamiest golden glow for their portraits. These are the kind of photos that make you want to pause and remember exactly what that night felt like.

And after sunset photos? The party continued all night long!

There was dancing, laughter, and so much celebrating with the people who love Kenzie and Billy most. It was the perfect ending to such a beautiful wedding at the Armory.

A Wedding Day Full of Joy

Kenzie and Billy’s wedding day was the perfect reminder that your wedding day doesn’t have to be about following a perfect formula. It’s about creating a day that feels like you—surrounded by the people you love, making memories you’ll look back on for years to come.

From their quiet vows at the Armory to their beautiful ceremony at St. Joe’s, from riding around on a party bus with their favorite people to dancing the night away, every part of their day was filled with so much joy.

Kenzie and Billy, thank you for trusting me to document your wedding day and allowing me to be a small part of such a meaningful season of your lives. Your day was full of so much love, laughter, and genuine connection, and I hope these photographs always take you right back to how it felt to be there for many years to come!
