From the beginning, Lauren and Tanner’s late summer wedding at The Madison in Cottage Grove, Minnesota was one of those days that stays with you long after it’s over. From heartfelt moments rooted in faith to an unforgettable dance floor filled with worship and dance moves; their wedding day was deeply intentional and beautifully Christ-centered.
As a Minnesota wedding photographer, it’s always an honor to witness couples who design their day around what truly matters. Lauren and Tanner did exactly that.
The day began with an outdoor ceremony on the beautiful grounds of The Madison. With late summer greenery surrounding them and their closest friends and family gathered nearby, Lauren and Tanner exchanged vows. Their ceremony that was focused on God, marriage, and the covenant they were stepping into together.
Every part of the ceremony felt sincere and purposeful. Scripture, prayer, and braiding of the three cords were woven throughout the ceremony. This created a peaceful and reverent atmosphere that reflected their faith and love for one another.
Before the ceremony, Lauren and Tanner chose to share a private vow reading—a quiet, intimate moment with just the two of them. These moments are always incredibly meaningful. Away from the crowd, they were able to slow down, be fully present, and truly take in the promises they were making.
It was emotional, prayerful, and such a beautiful reflection of their relationship and trust in God as they began their marriage.
Following the ceremony, guests moved inside for a reception filled with yummy food, laughter, and celebration. The Madison provided the perfect space for a warm, welcoming evening where everyone could relax and enjoy being together.
But one of the most powerful moments of the entire day happened during the bride and father first dance.
Instead of a traditional dance, Lauren and her dad started with a slow dance, but then invited the bridal party to the floor and danced to a worship song. What followed was nothing short of incredible. Friends and family gathered together, hands raised, worshiping Jesus right there at the reception. It was authentic, moving, and such a clear reflection of Lauren and Tanner’s hearts and faith.
After that, the party truly took off. The dance floor was packed, the energy was high, and joy filled the room for the rest of the night. It was the perfect balance of worship and celebration.
Lauren and Tanner’s Minnesota late summer wedding at The Madison in Cottage Grove, MN was a beautiful reminder that a wedding day doesn’t have to follow tradition—it just has to reflect you. Their focus on God, intentional moments together, and joyful celebration made this day unforgettable.
Lauren and Tanner, thank you for trusting me to capture such a meaningful chapter of your story. Your love for each other and for the Lord was evident in every moment, and it was truly an honor to be part of your day.
